A History of Achievements and Success
The driving force of the Group is the company Fontana Luigi S.p.A., established in 1952 by the brothers Loris and Walter Fontana in Veduggio - the very heart of the Brianza district - for production, sale, and logistics of high-strength fasteners. Within few years, the company succeeded in making the most of its’ technological innovation capabilities and commitment to offer quality services and products particularly appreciated by the market.

As from the 1970s, a company buyout program was launched, which is continuously evolving still at present: Bulloneria Briantea, Lobo, Bulloneria Barge, MeridBulloni, R.S.B., Derk, Invitea, Re.vi.fa, I.B.S. Industria Bulloneria Speciale , VBG, and more recently, G.F.D., a historic French fastener manufacturer, and LEP Special Fastener, a leading U.S. manufacturer specialized in the production of special fasteners.

In 2003, Fontana R.D. – Research and Development was established for the purpose of becoming, within the Group, a partner company aimed to give customers’ assistance and advice during the planning, design and development stages of new special parts, starting from raw material choice up to the study of the subsequent production processes. In addition, Fontana R.D. cooperates with other partners and colleagues both inside and outside the Group, providing the most appropriate solutions to any problem arising during the fastener engineering and production stages.
